Let me start off by saying that if you are reading this because you are about to, are in the midst of, or have just planned a wedding shower…give yourself a pat on the back! Wedding showers and baby showers are definitely a bit of planning and coordination, but if done right the whole entire process can be so much fun!

In this post I will show you seven ways to have a dreamy outdoor wedding shower. Cause if I’m being honest, I think my beautiful friends and I pulled off the most epic outdoor wedding shower ever. But I’ll let you decide. Take a look and get some tips in the process.

1. Flowers Flowers Flowers!

Flowers are the perfect decoration to add a ton of charm to an outdoor party.  They can also be a great way to determine the style and tie in any colors you want to work with for the big day. Mason jars make the best vases for the outdoors because they have a wide base and aren’t too tall; the perfect recipe for not falling over. Basically, wherever you can, add flowers! You just can’t go wrong.

2. Be Eco-Friendly and Upgrade from Plastic

Just because you are outside does NOT mean that you should be using plastic table cloths and table wear. Let me repeat, do NOT use plastic. Not only does it look tacky, but its not eco-friendly just to use something one time and throw it away. You should seriously consider using regular table cloths, silverware, cups and anything else you can!

3. Many Hands Make Light Work

Believe it or not 100% of the food you see below was completely made at home and 0% of it was catered. No, none of us were chefs or bartenders.  We just went on Pinterest and found yummy looking recipes.  We divided and conquered, and boy was it glorious! I mean…

4.  Get Chalkin’

Stop what you are doing right now. Yes, right now. Go on Amazon and order yourself chalk pens. It will change your life.  Well, not maybe your life, but you will be super jazzed about what they can do!

Our beautiful bride, Molly, LOVES and I mean LOVES Taylor Swift. So we decided to take some of T-money’s love song hits and make them into chalkboard decorations for the party. You probably saw some other ones above, but this one is my fav. Totes adorbs.

5. Personalized Games

Want to include games but don’t want to go with the traditional bingo? Consider a personalized game like this one, where you guess the age of the bride and the groom in their childhood photos for a prize.

6. Wedding Teaser Favors

Why not have the shower favors be something people can take home and get hyped for the wedding? These were glass picture frames that held photos of the destination of the wedding, the Adirondacks!
