Tears are falling onto the keyboard as I type this. It’s hard to put into words all the feelings that are surfacing and the thoughts that are flowing. In a word, “bittersweet” seems to capture it best.
But, I promise, this won’t turn into a “With Mixed Emotions” email vibe that leadership sends out when your colleague mysteriously leaves. Ha.
This truly is bittersweet.

There are happy tears because it gives me life that hard work pays off and dreams really do come true. Read my last post for more of our thoughts on that.
Sad tears mostly surface from all the memories made here. It’s where we moved in together for the first time; planned our wedding; brought our babies home from the hospital and so much more. It is a home filled with love that served us incredibly well for over 11 years.
This little home of ours is also where haus2home was born, and I’ll forever be thankful for being able to use it to learn and hone my DIY skills. So many opportunities were presented through brands (Valu Home Centers, The Buffalo News, HGTV the Family Justice Center and many others I love) and projects I tackled. I was so encouraged being able to transform it with my own two hands into a place we loved to call home for so long, while readers like you encouraged me throughout the way. Thank you for being invested in the haus2home brand, our journey as a family and all our crazy adventures. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for all of it!
While thanks are in order, THANK YOU to our realtor, Mike Moran of South Buffalo Realty. He is so patient, accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable about real estate. He made a long and stressful search in a crazy market feel like our goals were still attainable while providing insight along the way. We’re lucky to call him our friend and realtor.
Stay tuned right here on haus2home.com and on Instagram while we update our new place and turn it from a haus (house) into our home.
As a send off, a friend took photos of our family at home and our local playground to capture this special time in our life. Thank you so much, Meredith! (Instagram: @mf_kulwicki)
