Being born and raised in Western New York, one of our most cherished places to go for a drivable getaway is the Finger Lakes! The region is filled with beautiful nature, fun activities for all ages and of course show-stopping lakes. While we love them all, one of them rises to the top: Conesus Lake.

Our favorite Finger Lake to visit is Conesus Lake because it’s the Western most Finger Lake situated just an hour from Buffalo. While it’s big enough to explore and have fun, it’s also conveniently located to things like the charming College town of Geneseo; familiar amenities like Wegmans; gorgeous wineries; Letchworth State Park, the “Grand Canyon of the East”; and of course the 10 other fabulous Finger Lakes and towns.

We have been lucky enough to try different Airbnb rentals around Conesus Lake and have landed on our new favorite place to stay in Lakeville. It’s new to us, but also quite literally a new build and it sits right on Conesus lake. It doesn’t get much better than that!

Prime Location

This Conesus Lake home’s location is ideal for so many reasons. If you’re coming off the thruway, it’s just an exit and about 10 minutes of pretty country roads before arriving. This home sits at the north end of Conesus Lake, so it is perfect for easily getting out to the different restaurants, wineries and even go-carting! Some of my favorite places to go at the north end of the lake include Galene, Minnehan’s and Vitale Park.

Lake Front Jewel

This home’s location is also ideal because it is tucked away on a private street on Conesus Lake. That means, no loud traffic or speedy cars whipping by to worry about. You’re free to stroll up and down the street on a walk or jog worry-free.

It’s worth mentioning again that this home is located directly on the lake! With 50 feet of lake frontage to enjoy it’s a perfect yard to have a cookout, bonfire or play lawn games. The home faces east, so if you are an early bird that means you get to watch the sunrise over the lake on the spacious attached deck on the most comfortable outdoor couch you ever sat in. Seriously.

We love sitting on the back porch, but there’s also something really special about being out on the dock. This property’s dock is roomy and has seating at the end of the dock making for really tranquil evenings. You also have the availability to anchor your boat right at the dock and have easy access to boating on the lake without worrying about going to the boat launch everyday. Whether you love fishing, boating, tubing or straight chilling, there’s something for everyone.

Beautiful *New* Home

A lot of places we stay that are located directly on the lake are quite old. And while you know I love old charm, there’s something really special about staying somewhere new on a week or weekend getaway. The floorplan is awesome for gathering and relaxing – whether it’s just the two of us, our family or multiple families! Everything is provided to feel taken care of and dare I say luxurious? It feels like a true vacation at this place and to me, that’s priceless when I need a reset. The pictures speak for themselves. Wocka wocka!

Ample Parking

If you’re a lake go-er you may be familiar with the stress of parking your car in a safe and convenient place where you can easily get to and load/unload your car. This home has a spacious parking pad off the road that easily fits 4-5 vehicles. There’s also additional opportunities for public parking just a short drive down the road.

Room for Everyone

This house has FIVE (5) bedrooms, NINE (9) beds and THREE (3) 3 bathrooms. YES I’M YELLING! It’s so awesome how many people it can fit and still feel like you are not all crammed in together.

The way this house is setup makes it absolutely perfect for so many different uses, family vacations and reunions; birthdays and holiday gatherings; bachelor and bachelorette parties; romantic getaways; wine tour accommodations; wedding parties and guest stays. You name it!
